How I applied ?
AlphaSense visited our college in April month for hiring Software Engineers and Content Analyst. Although the hiring process started in mid May 2024.

Round 1 (OA on Hackkerank): 9 MCQs (Technical,Aptitude and Reasoning) + 2 Coding Questions.

Round 2 (Technical F2F) [DSA]:
The interview was of 1hr, which started with basic introduction and some conceptual technical questions on various data structures (can be answered verbally) along with 2 medium DSA questions.

Expection was full running code along with main function for both problems.

VERDICT: Selected

Round 3 (Technical F2F):
This interview was also lasted for 1 hr and started with basic introduction and then interviewer deep dived into my projects on which I worked during college and in my internship. He asked me questions related to Javascript, NextJS, React JS and then proceeded with conceptual questions on OOPs, OS and DBMS. Since I breezed through all the questions easily, he then asked me a guesstimate (just to check how I approach an unexpected challenge).

VERDICT: Selected

Round 4 (Managerial, F2F):
Basic Introduction and HR questions along with light technical discussion on a system design problem. He asked me how would I design/implement mention feature used in slack.

VERDICT: Selected

Other details:

• Around 40 students were shortlisted for interviews. In addition to 40 students, 10 students were marked as waitlisted making the count to 50.
• All the F2F interviews happened on same day. So the process was quick.
