I recently interviewed for a Senior Software Engineer position at PayPal and received confirmation of my selection about 10 days ago. Following that positive update, the HR team reached out to discuss salary details and to request some basic documentation.
Soon after, I received a call from HR instructing me to apply to the job posting using a specific job ID—apparently because my application hadn’t been submitted through their official portal, despite being contacted directly by the recruiter.
Later, I got an email from PayPal stating that I had successfully completed the interview process for that role. Currently, the status for the job ID indicates something like "Interview," which leaves me a bit confused about the next steps. The recruiter mentioned she would be calling me today, but I haven’t heard from her yet. I understand that recruiters sometimes don’t answer calls immediately, but since my last working day is approaching on March 18th, I’m a little anxious about the timing.
Has anyone else experienced similar delays or irregularities during the process at PayPal? Any insights or shared experiences would be incredibly helpful.
