Recently gave interview for uber sde-2 position. It had 5 rounds.
- Screeing round: Had 2 questions: one on valid BST, another Lc medium on Trees
Was able to solve both of them, and got two more rounds scheduled. - DS/Algo round: Was asked an LC hard on graphs currency exchnage problem. Was able to solve it in the last few minutes of the interview and passed all the testcases.
- LLD round: Design parking system. Was able to explain and code the entire thing, and the interviewer seemed happy.
Got HIRE in both these rounds and the last 2 rounds were scheduled. - HLD round: Design Webhook. Wasn't able to design it in the best manner, but was able to talk and suggest optimisations and communicated well with the interviewer.
Got a Soft hire in this round. - Behavioural round: Wasn't prepared for this interview, i thought my experience would be sufficient to talk through but that wasn't the case and i got mixed review.
Hr scheduled another behavioural round and told me they don't do it for everyone.
I prepared well this time, and was able to answer most of the questions, really don't know where i lacked but didn't get a positive response this time as well. Hr told me i lacked design experience.
My only advice would be to be prepared for every situation and every round matters.
