Salesforce AMTS Interview Experience

Hi,

I applied for the Salesforce MTS New Grad position in March 2024 and received a HackerRank test link at the beginning of July 2024. The test had two LeetCode easy questions, both of which I solved. The next day, I received an email from the recruiter saying I would be interviewed for the AMTS Software Engineering position.

They mentioned that there would be a 30-minute recruiter call followed by a final round interview. The recruiter call was a prep call, mainly focused on the expected questions for the final interview.

The final round interview consisted of a 60-minute technical round and a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager. The technical round focused on a design question, a live coding question, and a JavaScript troubleshooting question. I would say my interview experience was okay, and I answered almost all the questions. The 45-minute interview with the hiring manager went well, focusing mainly on my experience as a software engineer and the technologies I have used.

I followed up with the recruiter, thanking them for the opportunity, and they got back to me saying they would let me know about the decision by the end of the month. Today, I received an email from them saying there is a shift in business priorities and they will not be hiring for the role at this time. Is this a new way to reject candidates? I had very high hopes for the position and was expecting an offer. Should I follow up again to express my continued interest? Has anyone else had similar issues with Salesforce or any other company? Let me know if you have any suggestions for how I should proceed.

PS: The position is based in the US.
