Company: PhonePe\nPosition: Software Engineer\nLocation: Bangalore\n\n**Round 1: Online Assessment**\n\nDuration - 1hr\nThis was an online test that consisted of 10 Android MCQs and one DSA question of medium difficulty.\n\n**Round 2: PS/DS**\n\nDuration - 1hr but went to 1hr 30min\n2 Leetcode Medium level questions were asked. Was expected to write fully functional code, followed by checking output for different inputs and finally discussing time complexities. Questions were around Graphs and Arrays.\n\n**Round 3: Platform(Android)**\n\nDuration - 1hr\nInterview started with basic introductions, followed by deep dive into all major Android components. \n\n**Round 4: Machine Coding**\n\nDuration - 1hr 30 min\nOnline platform link was shared, with below question - \nDesign a utility function for Android app to sync contacts in the device with the backend.\nI started by asking clarifications and listing the assumptions to be made. Was expected to write different andorid layers and defining models for API calls. Post the basic implementation, interviewer gave different subtasks to be handled like managing contacts for multiple devices for a single user, etc.\n\n**Round 5: HM**\n\nDuration - 1hr\nStarted with introductions and walkthrough of my resume. Interviewer then asked me about the challenges i faced in my previous jobs, then picked upon some Android tech terms i used and deep dived into those for 30min. Then, the interview moved towards behavioural questions around the ideal team I desire, issues I face in my current team and company, how to resolve it, etc. \n\n\nWas informed about the selection few days post the last round. Then a week later offer discussion happened.
