Epam has conducted a drive on saturday, Face to face interview
They have mentioned it will be one technical and one managerial round, but for me only one techo/managerial happened and same person, both combined and same person took interview.
Technical F2F Round (1 hour):
Questions:
- Questions from resume and project, and explanation of my project and its architecture.
- How will you design rest api, expected indepth explanation, best practices,
- Touched up on Richardson maturity model and HATEOS but not indepth, just asked whether i am aware of it.
- Java 8 features
- Question on streams using flatmap on a list of object, just wanted to test whether i am aware of flatmap and how to use and code it,this small snippet he asked me to code in laptop
- Microservices patterns - i told i dint work on patterns and he left the topic.
- Questions on best practices, code review, sonarQube, how we do in our current project.
- Questions on SOLID principles, and specifically asked me to explain liskov substitution principle, and overview of others
- Questions on Desgin patterns, asked about scenarios where builder and strategy is used and its explanation.
Mostly the interviewer focus is on the things i know whether i know it in depth or not, he dint care if dont know some topic, he just focused and what i know and grilled as deep as possible.
