Hi Everyone 👋
I had the privilege of participating in an on-campus interview with Samsung R&D during their visit to my college in June 2023. The interview process consisted of several rounds, each with its own unique focus.
Resume Shortlisting:
Similar to any other company, Samsung also did the resume shortlisting.
The resume shortlisting was based on following criteria:
- Branches: COE, IT, ECE and ICE.
- CGPA: 6 and above
- No criteria for scores in 10th or 12th standard
Hopefully I passed all the criteria of resume shortlisting.
Round 1:
- The first round was a online problem solving round.
- It was a 3-hour coding round consisting of a single problem.
- The question I got was related to 2D dynamic programming which is medium to hard level.
- In this problem there were 50 test cases which needed to be passed to be shortlisted for the next round.
Round 2:
- Next was a Technical Interview Round.
- Initially, the interviewer asked some basic questions related to core CS funcdamentals like DBMS, OS, CN, etc.
- Then, he started asking DSA questions. I was asked two questions in which one was related to linked list and another was a dynamic programming one.
- Those who answered both questions along with optimized approach were shortlisted for the next round.
Round 3:
- This was the final round and was a HR/Managerial Round.
- It was a general round in which interviewer was describing the type of work being done and the project she was working on.
- She asked some of the basic HR questions like what are your strengths and weakness, do you know anyone working in Samsung, etc.
- She also answered some of my questions including team structure, etc.
Hope this interview experience was helpful and inspiring.
Happy Coding :)
