Technical phone screen (30 min):

• Technical questions around Java, Concurrency, Transactions
• Database question
  • Transaction isolation levels.
  • Joins
• Framework questions (Hibernate, Spring)
• It was conducted from recuirter who had some technical kowledge.

2nd coding interview (1 hours):

• Asked to create a URL shortening service
• Few optimisation and requirement changes to have alphanumeric values as path.

3rd technical phone screen (1 hours):

• Started with dummy code for Account and Payment service.
• Asked to write code for making a transfer from Account A to B without caring about concurrency.
• Asked to change to account for concurrency.
• Questions around data type choices, locks, issues with certain data types.
• Question on database locks and queries.
• How to do same account transfer in databasee.

People who clear this round, based on feedback they go for design round.

General Thoughts: Revolut's interviews were more like rapid fire, speed is something they focused a lot on. Sometimes I did not even got time to explain muy ideas properly. Their focus in mainly on paymenting domain (as their business is), java fluency, locks and concurrency. In all interviews they will spend 50 mins on tasks/queestions and 10 min reserved for QnA.
