Hey Everyone,

Let me introduce myself first,

I am Gurmeet Singh, Software Engineer at Urban Company). I am a 2024 Graduate from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology.

So, In this Article, I will share my strategy to crack 4+ Full Time Offers in top Unicorn Startups.

  1. Resume
  • Skills — MERN Stack for Web Development, DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) in C++, Javascript, Frontend Development, Backend Development, Git, Github, OOPs, DBMS, etc.
  • Experience — Before Applying to Swiggy, I had 3 internships Experience (US Based Startup -> Paradigm Senior Services, Zluri (workflow), and one Unpaid Startup).
  • Projects — I had 3 projects ( 2 Major, and 1 Minor Project). One Major Project was on Women's Safety where I did Google Maps Integration, and Violence Wise Analysis Using ReactJs Chart Library.
  • CGPA — College CGPA (9.63) and 12th Percentage (95.4%).
  • Achievements — Facebook Hackercup Competition with 304 AIR, Guardian Badge at Leetcode, Specialist in Codeforces, 4 Star 🌟 at Codechef.
  1. DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms)
  • I have generally used Leetcode and GFG for upskilling my DSA Skills.
  • So, on Leetcode I have solved around 1000 + DSA Questions (300 EASY, 600 MEDIUM, 100 HARD)
  • These questions are done by solving POTDs (Problem of the Days), Leetcode Contest, etc.
  1. How I Applied to each of these Companies —

  • ✅ Swiggy — Applied for the SDE Intern Opportunity at Swiggy via a Google form circulating over LinkedIn and shared my resume with some employees as well. Have got the Online Assessment and Interview, and Got an SDE Intern. After working in Golang, Spring Boot, and ReactJs, in 3 months only, got a full-time offer as an ASDE at Swiggy.

  • ✅ INDMoney — A form was shared for the college placements by INDmoney HR, they need a Frontend Developer in Next.js, so, based on my interview, got an SDE Intern and at the same time, based on Swiggy internship experience, got Full Time Offer from INDmoney as Frontend Developer.

  • ✅ VMart — VMart HR Reached out to me for a Backend Developer in Spring Boot. Based on my two internship experiences and after 4 interview rounds, got Full Time Offer.

  • ✅ Urban Company — Got the call from HR because I filled the opportunity with a Referral and based on my previous internship experiences and interview, got a full-time Offer as SDE-1 for Full Stack Developer.

  • There were many Rejections as well in the final rounds like Blinkit, Ion, Stripe, etc., and got full-time offers from other companies like Compro Technologies, and GroundTruth.

It’s well said that every Success has some failures, it’s Okay it’s all the part of Journey.

4. Final Tips & Tricks

✅ Keep your Resume Updated with Skills, Experience, Projects, Achievements, CGPA, everything matters.

✅ Stay Prepared with Core Subjects like DBMS, OS, OOPs, CN, etc.

✅ Do a Good Amount of Data Structures and Algorithms Questions, and Give Contests and POTD to get a real-time feeling of interviews.

✅Prepare 2 Major Projects and 1 Minor Project and have some good reason of why this project.
