I have applied and interviewed at multiple product based startups, Most of them simply reject me because my current company is B2B and I have experience working with Python throughout my career.
Why this HR doesn't understand it's just a programming languages and if one can crack your interview they can also learn any programming language.
Can anyone please tell me what should I do? Should I learn Java and then fake my experience that my current company uses java to get more interviews? or is there a company which takes interview irrespective of the programming language.
Please suggest. After working hard for interviews DSA + LLD + HLD and then getting rejected just because of programming language It's kind of frustating.
Edit1:
I got a call from swiggy HR for SDE 2 role, she asked my yoe, ctc, ectc and notice period and at the end she mentioned year of experience in java and spring boot? To which i told her that I had learnt java but in my current job we use Python she said sorry we want only java and spring boot experienced peope. I tried to convince her that problem solving can be in any language and I can learn Java and spring boot during my notice period but she didn't listen and hung up. I am afraid, am I ever going get into a good product base company just because of using Python and not Java. This people wants current company experience in java and springboot and doesn't consider candidate from other tech stack. Are they really hiring engineers?
