I have about 14 years of IT experience and currently working as Engineering Manager in a product company . I would like to switch to FAANG in India ( or get offers from abroad) as Engineering Manager . I know, that I would have to prep ALGO &DS , System design , behaviro , management etc . I am a minimal programmer or a below average programmer , with minimal javascript or java exposure ... I know OOPS etc but a pretty quick learner and can maintain consistency to achieve anything.

So while I prep up for this , should I opt for C++ or Python (python being my fav for reasons like - used across industries , growing popularity , its features etc ) to learn Algo and DS ?

I am already 34 year old , do you think I can take about 6 months to learn things from scratch ? is it achievable ..I am just looking like a story of me ,but havent found one yet ...need some inspiration from a community like this... let me know
