Hey LeetCode Community

I recently completed the Amazon SDE 1 Online Assessment and wanted to share my experience, as well as get some insights from anyone who knows how HackerRank handles final code pushes right as the timer expires.

During identity verification, the platform captured my face snapshot first and then my ID separately before unlocking the test. Midway through the assessment, my browser accidentally exited full-screen mode, but I avoided refreshing the page, kept coding, and completed the entire assessment smoothly.

Here is the breakdown of my test performance:

Question 1: 100% test cases passed on the first submission.

Question 2: On my initial run, I passed 2/6 test cases. After fixing the logic, my next runs passed 4/6 test cases. In the final seconds, I made additional edits to target the remaining 2 edge cases and clicked submit with about 5 seconds left. The UI displayed "Code successfully pushed to server," but the timer hit zero before the final test case result widget could render on screen.

Work Simulation & Work Style Survey: Both sections were completed in full before time expired, aligning answers with Amazon's Leadership Principles.

I have two main questions for the community:

When the timer expires right after a last-second push, how does HackerRank evaluate the score? If the last-second edit had an incomplete line or syntax error due to the rush, does the platform score 0/6 for that final push, or does it give credit for the last successfully compiled/verified run where 4/6 passed?

If Question 2 is recorded at 4/6 passed (giving an overall coding score of 10/12 or ~83.3%), along with a completed Work Simulation, what are the realistic chances of moving forward to the interview rounds for an SDE 1 role?

Would appreciate any insights or past experiences with HackerRank auto-submit behavior and Amazon's OA evaluation process. Thanks!
