Hey everyone, I just completed the AI TA Screen – Software Development Engineer Intern – Bangalore (Onsite) Chakra round for HackerRank.

Sharing my experience since I saw a lot of people asking what is actually asked in this round.

For me, the round was mostly logistics/eligibility-related and there were no technical/DSA questions.

The questions were along the lines of:

  • What is your current semester?
  • What is your graduation year?
  • Are you available for the complete 6-month internship?
  • Are you comfortable with the Bangalore onsite requirement?
  • Do you have any current offers?
  • Basic availability/eligibility-related questions.

There were no questions about DSA, projects, coding, CS fundamentals, system design, or technical concepts in my round.

The whole thing was conducted through Chakra AI, and after completing it I immediately received the automated message saying:

“Your Chakra round is complete. We've sent your submission to HackerRank.”

So based on my experience, I would consider this an initial screening/eligibility round rather than a technical interview.

Of course, the questions/process may vary between candidates or batches, so this shouldn't be taken as a guarantee for everyone.
