Company: Adobe
Team: Workfront, Reviews & Approvals
Role: Software Engineer Intern
Location: Salt Lake City, UT. Virtual loop
Date: November 2024
How it started: Cold application
Outcome: Offer. Accepted
Posting this now because Adobe has just opened its SWE internship and new grad roles. Read the date first though: this loop ran in November 2024, so it is two cycles old and the structure has almost certainly drifted.
Three rounds, plus an offer call.
Round 1. Online assessment. Three LeetCode mediums on HackerRank.
Round 2. Problem solving, live. One string manipulation problem, medium. Self rating: Strong Hire.
Round 3. Hiring manager fit. Behavioural. Background, and the team.
Round 4. Not really a round. HR call with the offer.
I work at Adobe now, so I am posting the shape of the loop and not the question inside it. I know that is the part most people come here for, so I would rather say it up front than have you read to the end looking for it.
Which round tests what is useful and is on Glassdoor already. The specific problem I was given is my employer's, not mine to hand over.
Nothing in any round touched AI. Not how I use models, not how I review what they write, not where I would refuse to.
In November 2024 that was unremarkable. Two years on it is the single most dated thing about this loop, and I would expect a 2026 loop to spend its time exactly there.
Happy to answer questions about the loop or the prep.
