Google India | SWE II (L3) | Post-Onsite Timeline & Team Matching vs HC Query

Hi everyone,

I recently completed my full onsite loop for a Software Engineer II (L3) role at Google India (targeting Hyd/Blr). I’m currently on day 7 post-final round and haven’t received an update from my recruiter yet.

Before my final round, the recruiter sent a standard prep email mentioning that formal feedback compilation could take "a few weeks." My breakdown is roughly 3 positive rounds and 1 borderline positive round (where I aced the DSA/theoretical discussion but ran out of time to finish the last few lines of code).

I have a couple of structural questions for those who have gone through the Google India process recently:

1. HC vs. Team Matching Order: For L3 loops right now, is Google running the Hiring Committee (HC) phase first, or are candidates being pushed to Team Matching first?

2. Decision Maker for Team Matching: If a pipeline goes to Team Matching first, who holds the authority to clear the candidate for matching based on the 4 interview scorecards? Is it entirely up to the individual recruiter?

3. Timeline: If Team Matching does happen first, is a 7+ day delay common for the recruiter to review the feedback and communicate the transition?

Would love to hear from anyone who has gone through the process or cleared HC recently regarding their exact timelines.
