I’m currently in the Google L4 team-matching process, and it has been almost a year since I completed my interviews.
Here’s my situation:
I cleared the interview process and was moved to team matching.
I had one team match during this period, but it didn’t work out because the team decided to move forward with someone who had more years of experience.
Since then, I haven’t had another successful team match despite being in the process for almost a year.
My recruiter told me that my interview feedback would be valid for 18 months.
Recently, I applied for another role through the Google Careers page( since my recruiter insisited). A new recruiter reached out to me, but they are now saying that my previous interview results are valid for only one year and that I would need to go through a new round of interviews.
This is confusing because my original recruiter had explicitly told me that the feedback was valid for 18 months and had encouraged me to apply for other roles.
Has anyone been in a similar situation with Google?
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through Google team matching or had their interview feedback reused for another role.
