Interview Experience

The overall process had multiple technical and discussion rounds.

Round 1 – DSA / Problem Solving

The discussion started with my experience and then moved to DSA. The focus was not just on reaching the solution but also explaining the approach, optimizing it, discussing time/space complexity and handling edge cases.

Round 2 – Low-Level Design / Technical Discussion

This round focused more on designing a solution cleanly. We discussed classes, APIs, responsibilities, extensibility and different design choices. There were follow-up questions whenever I made a design decision.

Round 3 – System Design + Projects

This was more open-ended. I was expected to clarify requirements first and then discuss the high-level architecture, APIs, database choices, scalability and trade-offs.

There was also a detailed discussion around my current work and projects, including why certain technical decisions were made and what I would change if I had to redesign them.

Round 4 – Hiring Manager / Director Discussion

This was a mix of technical and behavioral discussion.

Questions were around my previous experience, ownership, handling disagreements, working with different teams, challenging situations and why I wanted to join Adobe.

There were also discussions around the role, team expectations and the kind of problems I would be working on.

Overall, the interviews felt discussion-oriented rather than just question-answer rounds. Explaining my thought process and defending my technical decisions was important throughout the process.

Finally received the offer for Computer Scientist 1.

Will share the detailed interview questions and preparation strategy here soon.
