Round 1 – Technical
The first round was focused on backend development and system design. We discussed Java, Spring Boot, API design, authorization, design patterns, caching, and some practical problem-solving.
The interviewer was polite and the discussion was interactive. Some questions were based on real-world scenarios rather than just theoretical concepts.
Round 2 – Cultural Round
The second round was a cultural/HR discussion. We discussed my experience, projects, ownership, challenges I faced, career goals, feedback, and why I was looking for a change.
The interviewer was friendly and made the conversation comfortable.
Round 3 – Engineering Head
The final round was with the Engineering Head. It focused mainly on my overall technical experience, projects I had worked on, system architecture, responsibilities, production experience, and my understanding of the company's product and domain.
The discussion was mainly high-level and project-oriented.
Overall Experience
Overall, the interview process was professional and the interviewers were respectful. The process covered technical skills, cultural fit, project experience, and overall engineering understanding.
For preparation, I would recommend focusing on Java/Spring Boot, system design, API architecture, scalability, caching, design patterns, and being able to clearly explain your projects and technical decisions.
Outcome: Rejected after the final round.
