Sharing my recent interview experience for the Nutanix MTS-2 – DevEx team role.
The OA consisted of two DSA questions:
I was able to solve both questions successfully.
The coding round had two questions:
I was able to solve both problems and implement working solutions during the interview. I was also able to explain my approach and the underlying concepts.
However, I was ultimately rejected with the feedback that the code quality could have been better.
I’m sharing this experience because it’s easy to focus only on getting the correct answer during interview preparation. Code quality matters, especially for MTS-2/SDE-2 level roles. Even if the interviewer says he wants only the algorithm, you have to write a clean code in one go. Clean code with a correct algorithm has became a necessary parameter.
Overall, it was a good learning experience, and I’ll definitely be paying more attention to writing clean, production-quality code in future interviews.
