Hi everyone,

I recently attended a TCS Digital interview as an experienced candidate with around 1.7 years of experience, and I got selected.

Sharing my interview experience for anyone preparing for TCS Digital.

Interview Experience

The interview was a combination of Technical + HR discussion. Since I was an experienced candidate, they did not go very deep into technical questions.

The interviewer mainly focused on my work experience, Python fundamentals, problem-solving, and career-related questions.

Interestingly, the Technical and HR questions were asked in parallel rather than having completely separate rounds.

Questions Asked

1. Introduction

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Tell me something about yourself that is not mentioned in your resume.

2. Python / OOPs

  • Explain the 4 pillars of OOPs.
  • Questions around Python and OOP concepts.

3. Coding / Problem Solving

  • Fibonacci series problem.
  • Fibonacci with different variations.
  • Discussion about the approach and logic.

4. Work Experience

  • Explain a situation where you handled a critical task in your previous/current company.
  • Questions about my responsibilities and experience in my current organization.

5. Career Change

  • Why are you looking to switch to a new company?
  • Why TCS?

Overall Experience

The interview was not heavily technical for an experienced candidate.

They seemed more interested in understanding:

  • My actual work experience
  • Projects and responsibilities
  • Python fundamentals
  • Problem-solving ability
  • How I handled critical situations at work
  • Reason for switching
  • Why TCS

The interview was more conversational rather than a rapid-fire technical round.

Preparation Advice

For experienced candidates preparing for TCS Digital, I would recommend focusing on:

  • Python fundamentals + OOPs
  • Basic coding problems and their variations
  • Your current project's architecture and responsibilities
  • Real situations from your work experience
  • Why you want to switch
  • Why TCS
  • Everything mentioned in your resume

Most importantly, know your resume thoroughly. Be prepared to explain anything mentioned in it and have concrete examples from your work experience.
