Salesforce Fullstack SMTS, How Bad is Taking a LWC+Java Job when lack of React Burned Me?

Evaluating potential Salesforce SMTS offer for San Francisco location. I'm in the team-matching process and am considering a team that is based on Lightning Web Components and Java. I have 6 years of experience and all of them are Angular/TS. Not having React on my resume disqualified me for a number of Bay Area jobs with minimum requirements of "substantial React experience" or "2yrs of React". That burned me and makes me a little hesitant towards intentionally getting into LWC.

The specific team I'm looking at seems like a great opportunity for high visibility, impact and leadership, but not getting into React is making me think I'm just limiting my future job options again.

To anyone currently / formerly at Salesforce, what are the culture / vibes right now? How much is LWC transferable to a next job? Is there a chance I could find a React team or project at Salesforce, or is LWC the majority of the frontend work (I could say no to this team and maybe get matched to a different team)?

I care about learning, career progression, and WLB. Aiming to be a frontend-leaning fullstack dev. Burned by not having React, I'm trying to prevent cutting myself off from more of the fullstack market.
