Amazon SDE Intern Online Assessment (2026) – Recent Experiences & Preparation Tips?

Hi everyone,

I recently received an invitation for the Amazon Software Development Engineer (SDE) Online Assessment.

According to the email, the assessment consists of:

• Coding Challenge (100 minutes):

  • One traditional coding problem
  • One AI-assisted coding question in a repository environment

• Work Simulation (45 minutes)

• Work Style Survey (6 minutes)

If you've taken this new version of the OA recently, I'd really appreciate your insights.

A few questions:

1. What was the difficulty level of the two coding questions?
2. Which DSA topics appeared most frequently (Graphs, Trees, DP, Greedy, Strings, etc.)?
3. How different is the AI-assisted repository question from the traditional coding problem?
4. Any LeetCode problems or patterns that felt particularly helpful?
5. Any advice on managing the 100-minute coding section?

Please don't share exact questions if that's not allowed—I'm mainly looking for preparation advice and topic trends.
