One of the most exciting interview experiences I've had so far!
I'm happy to share that I successfully cleared HackWithINFY Round 2 and recently appeared for the Pre-Placement Interview (PPI).
💻 Coding Round Experience
✅ Round 1
Solved 3 coding questions based on:
- Arrays
- Greedy
- Dynamic Programming
✅ Round 2
Solved 4 coding questions (Easy → Medium → Hard → Complex) covering:
- Arrays
- Trees
- Dynamic Programming
- Greedy & Problem Solving
The problems required not only writing optimized code but also handling hidden test cases and edge cases effectively. It was a great test of both coding skills and logical thinking.
💬 Pre-Placement Interview Questions
The interviewer asked questions from both Computer Science fundamentals and aptitude.
Some of the questions were:
- Explain Operator Overloading with an example.
- Difference between Primary Key and Unique Key.
- Solve the classic 8L–5L–3L Jug Problem (obtain 4L and 4L).
- What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)?
- What is Machine Learning (ML)?
- Types of Machine Learning.
- Difference between Supervised and Unsupervised Learning.
- Explain Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Swap two numbers without using a third variable.
- Do you have any questions for us?
📖 My Takeaways
One thing I learned from this journey is that DSA alone isn't enough.
Along with problem-solving, it's equally important to have a strong understanding of:
- Data Structures & Algorithms
- OOP
- DBMS
- AI & Machine Learning fundamentals
- Logical reasoning
- Communication skills
- Confidence during interviews
Every round challenged me to think differently and pushed me to become a better problem solver.
