If i had to conclude my Infosys Online Assessment, i would say i was lucky this time.
You won't believe what questions came in my slot.
Hi there,
My OA round was scheduled for Aug 2 at 2pm, after getting postponed multiple times. Finally, Infosys remembered us....remembered the unemployed youth like me.
When first coding question appear on my screen i panicked there because i could not understand the question at first. I thought, 'If this is the easy question, how difficult will other two questions be'
Question 1: (didnt remebered title)
it was something: i was given 2N candidates. i had to send candidates to CityA and CityB. and i was also given cost for sending candidates to cities. i had to find the min possible total cosst for sending candidates to cities and there was more conditions which i forgot. (12/12 Test Case Passed)
Question 2: (Max product of Subarray)
i was given int array, i had to find max product of subaaray which includes element in inreasing order only.
At this point, i finnaly felt some relief because i had practices many subarray- related questions. This was easiest question for me. (12/12 Test Case Passed)
Question 3: (Longest Common Subsequence of String)
i was given two string like s1 and s2. i had to find length of longest common subsequence of string with some more conditions.
Now here comes the turning point, this question was indeed not hard, but my fate had different plans.
I first implemented brute and all 3 sample test cases passed on first attempt. but once i hit submit button all hidden test cases failed.
i thought maybe brute wont work, lets change the logic. Now after writing code with dp, again all test cases failed.
At this point, i was completely confused because i was confident that my Dp solution was correct. still i tried figuring out, did mutlple checks but non worked. I gave up at the end.
Overall, I passed 24/36 test cases, and i was not satisfied with the score because i didn't scored with these easy questions. I believe there might be issue with interpretor or test cases itself.
That was my Infosys OA experience. I hope this gives candidates idea of the questions. I was lucky this time but not always.
