Hey LC Community, I recently appeared for the Infosys HackWithInfy SP L3 interview.
About Me:
2027 Batch – CSE Student
College - Tier 3
Interview Role – Specialist Programmer L3 (21 LPA)
I recently went through the HackWithInfy hiring process, so I thought I'd share my experience for anyone preparing next year.
Hiring Process:
OA 1 (Online): 4 coding questions in 3 hours.
OA 2 (Offline at an Infosys-allotted college): Again 4 coding questions in 3 hours.
I solved 1 medium, 1 medium-hard, and a few test cases of the complex problem, which qualified me for the Specialist Programmer L3 (21 LPA) interview.
What surprised me was the interview format.
Before the interview even started, I was given 30 minutes to solve 2 coding problems in front of the interviewer. If you couldn't solve at least one, the interview ended there.
Luckily, I solved one problem (Prefix Sum + Greedy). The other was DP, which I couldn't finish.
The interview itself wasn't just DSA. It was a deep discussion about everything on my resume. Every answer was followed by "Why?", whether it was about language choice, data structures, projects, or implementation details. They clearly wanted to test whether I actually understood what I'd written.
I honestly don't think my interview went as well as I'd hoped, but it was one of the toughest interview experiences I've had and definitely a good learning experience.
If anyone has questions about the process, feel free to ask. Hopefully this helps future HackWithInfy candidates.
