Hi everyone, I recently had my Agoda interview offline at their Gurugram office on May 24th, 2026, and successfully cleared all the rounds to receive a 6-month SDE intern offer. It was a wonderful experience to step out and give an in-person interview, so I wanted to share how the process went.

The selection process started with a standard Online Assessment on HackerRank. It was quite competitive ,out of around 10,000 applicants, approximately 500 were shortlisted based on their OA performance and resumes. From there, Agoda handpicked just 66 students and invited us for two rounds of offline interviews at their office.

My first on-site round was a deep dive into CS fundamentals and problem-solving. Instead of coding on a laptop, my mentor asked me to write pseudo-code on paper to see my raw thought process. The DSA questions revolved around 3Sum, Hashing, and Greedy algorithms. After that, I was asked to design a database schema for a PVR Cinema. The round wrapped up with some networking fundamentals, specifically DNS routing, and some basic, high-level system design concepts(Kafka,Decoupled,Microservices and optimisations).

The second round was a bit different. While some candidates were asked resume-based questions, my interviewer gave me a unique, practical challenge. I had to solve an HTML and CSS problem using an AI agent. The catch was that the interviewer intentionally twisted the constraints so the AI would fail, just to see if I could detect the trap. With only 15 minutes, I wasn't able to pinpoint the exact trick with 100% accuracy, but I constantly communicated my thought process. Fortunately, my analytical approach to debugging the issue pleased him, and I managed to clear the round.

Exactly a week later, I got an email from them confirming my selection. Overall, the offline experience was fantastic and taught me a lot about handling unconventional situations. Right now, I have actually joined Rubrik as an InfoSec Intern, and I will be posting a separate article about that experience soon.
