New Grad/Entry Level Amazon SDE (VA) - Looking for Advice on Technical Rounds

Hi everyone,

I have my Amazon New Grad / Entry-Level Software Development Engineer interview coming up, and Im looking for some advice from people who have recently gone through the process.

From what I’ve been told, I’ll be doing 4 virtual interviews, each about 60 minutes long. I’m expecting a mix of coding and behavioral questions, but I’m curious what the technical rounds are actually like in practice.

I’m hoping to get some insight into questions like:

  • What kinds of technical questions did you get?
  • Were they mostly Easy, Medium, or Hard LeetCode difficulty?
  • Did you get multiple coding questions per round or just one?
  • Were there any LLD/OOP style questions, or was it almost entirely DSA?
  • How much emphasis was placed on Amazon Leadership Principles versus coding?
  • Were the interviewers expecting an optimal solution immediately, or were they more interested in your thought process and communication?

For those who interviewed recently, which LeetCode problems or patterns would you prioritize if you only had a week left to prepare? Were there any Amazon-tagged questions that ended up being especially useful?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
