Technical Recruiter discussion

Basic discussion about my previous work, alignment with the job description. Discussion about compensation expectations and notice period.

Was informed that there will be 3 rounds of 1 hour each. The rounds were scheduled without much gap between them as the company wanted to hire quickly.

Round 1 : codebase drop in

I was asked to SSH into an unknown codebase, some sort of a CLI tool. I was shown a few inputs and their outputs, and the goal was to implement a feature that did not exist.

1 hour to implement the feature.

Idea was to understand how i navigate in an unkown codebase, identify patterns being used and code accordingly.

Round 2 : DSA

1 DSA question, 1 hour.

Binary trees, cannot find the exact question on leetcode. Something along the lines of linking nodes in an imperfect binary tree.

The initial approach was a medium level solution, the required optimised solution was definitely a hard level solution.

Round 3 : LLD round

Given a description of the program to implement, we had to come up with the interface, the classes, the functions. This involved concurrent and multi-threading.

Any lanaguage of the user's choice, 1 hour
