Today I attempted the Software Engineer Campus Hire OA of Citadel.
The first question felt similar to a greedy/optimization style LeetCode problem. I was able to build the approach, but I lagged in handling edge cases and optimizing the implementation properly, because of which only 4/15 test cases passed. It reminded me that partial logic is not enough in competitive coding — implementation depth matters a lot.
The second question was DP-based, and after spending time observing transitions and patterns, I was able to solve it successfully and pass all test cases.
Overall, it was a really great learning experience. These assessments truly show where you stand in problem solving, implementation, and thinking under pressure. Back to improving again 🚀
