Hi, I was laid off from my Job I month ago. I am targetting Senior Roles now. Starting this post to document the journey and recieve any feedback from the community.

TC: 40-50 LPA
YOE: 6-7

Month 1:
Given OAs of multiple companies and failed.

Jio Intelligence: Rejected After 1st Round
Pure Storage: Rejected after 2 rounds (DSA, Concurrency)
Ford: Rejected after the first Round
PhonePe: Rejected after 3 rounds (Machine coding, DSA)
1am feeling demotivated now as I only have couple of interviews lined up and not seeing more interview oppurtunities.
Requesting the community to give any advice/feedback. Kindly also suggest any companies which i could target.

Month 2:
Trying to land interviews with Google/Uber/AirBnb

Still did not land interviews with Google/Uber/AirBnb.
Girlfriend broke up.

Expedia: rejected in OA
UIPath: Rejected after 4th Round
Walmart: Rejected in 3rd Round (HLD)
Okta: ghosted after tech Screen
Stripe: Rejected in Tech Screen
Nexthink: Rejected in Last round (with VP of engineering)
2 AI startups: Rejected in their 1st round
Altimetrik: ghosted after tech screen
Addepar: Rejected in tech screen

Month3:

Sometimes i am having a bad day/interviewer and cannot perform under interview pressure and sometimes it's knowledge gap like i was asked to create LLD for multi tenant SaaS platform, questions about OS and networking which i did not knew how to handle.

I have decided to take a break from interviews and just fill the gaps which i have identified.

have recieved OAs from 2 starups and ebay.

Onehouse: Rejected after 3rd round
Harvey: Rejected after 4 Rounds(Entire loop)
Boomi: Rejected after 3rd Round
Osfin.AI : Rejected in 1st Round

Month 4

Whatfix: Cleared 2 Rounds, They want me to fly to blr for remaining 3 rounds.
Google: Recruiter agreed to schedule tech screen
Microsoft: Getting L62 interviews and not L63. Not Interviewing right now.
Wise: Cleared OA. Haven't heard back from recruiter yet.
HackerRank: Gave OA, solved 1/2 questions. Rejected
Ebay: I have cleared the OA since June but i am not in bangalore for their in-person interviews.
Tekion: Rejected in First round.
Salesforce: Got a recruiter contact, might land an interview with them.
Safe Security: Rejected after 2nd Round (Tech Screen, DSA, System Design)

Month 5

My performance has now reduced as oppose to improving. Originally i was getting farther during interviews but now getting rejected initially itself.

Google: Rejected in Phone Screen.
Hevo Data: Rejected
Stylii : Rejected after 2 system Design Rounds
Omnissa : 3rd Round Scheduled (HLD)
Wise: 2nd Round Scheduled (HLD)
IBM Confluent: Recieved Assesment
