Recently gave Amazon SDE1 interview (4 rounds)
came out of most rounds thinking this went fine
but result → rejected

R1: Linked list + trees
looked simple… then edge cases started hitting
R2: Heap problem
kept improving solution again and again
felt like they won’t stop until perfect
R3: DP + some AI discussion
DP as usual
R4 (Bar Raiser): projects a lot of “why did you do this?”
felt like defending everything I’ve built

What I felt

• knowing solution is not enough, they go deeper
• follow-ups can change everything
• explaining clearly is as important as coding

Rejected
not gonna lie… felt bad
because it didn’t feel like a bad interview

anyone else had this?
thought interview went well… but still got rejected?
