I recently completed my interview loop with Amazon (SDE-2) and received an offer. Sharing my experience below:

Interview Rounds

Round 1: DSA

• 2 standard LeetCode-style problems
• Focus on clean implementation and edge cases

Round 2: HLD

• Social media–type system design
• Included scenarios like handling celebrities / high-traffic users

Round 3: DSA

• 2 problems framed in Amazon-specific context
• Questions were more about understanding the problem behind the story
• Cracking the phrasing was the main challenge

Round 4: LLD

• Designed a file filtering API system
• Emphasis on clean design + appropriate design patterns

Pro Tip

• Prepare solid stories for Leadership Principles (LPs).
  Expect deep cross-questioning, especially around ownership and decisions.
• System design (both HLD + LLD) is equally important

Compensation

• Base: 42 LPA
• Bonus: 16L (Year 1) / 12.5L (Year 2)
• RSUs: 214 (5% / 15% / 40% / 40%)
