Hi everyone,

I have 2 upcoming interview rounds with D. E. Shaw for a Frontend Engineer role, and I couldn’t find much relevant interview experience online. Would really appreciate any insights from folks who have gone through their process.

Sharing my experience so far:

OA: 2 frontend questions

To-do app implementation

Nested folder structure implementation

Screening Round:

2 DSA questions

1 JavaScript output-based question (Promises + setTimeout)

Would love to know:

• What to expect in the next rounds?

• Depth of frontend vs DSA/system design?

• Do they ask CS fundamentals, puzzles etc ?

• Any specific topics to focus on (JS internals, React, browser, etc.)?

Any guidance or experiences would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
