Profile :

• CSE passout 2024 from a Tier-3 collage
• 10 Months of Startup experience in MERN
• I had a TCS Digital offer

Timelinme :

1. Applied through a referral for lateral opening, though they focus on campus hiring for SDE1.
2. after few months received a form to choose preferred location for hiring drive. I choosed kolkata. >> Nov 2024 🗓️
3. Got the in person invite for the whole process in a single day. >> 27th Jan 2025 🗓️
4. The process was divided in : OA consisted of LC - (easy + Medium + Hard), 2 Tech interviews, final behavioral round.
5. Got the offer in a month. 🎉 >> Feb 2025 🗓️

Interview rounds

First Tech Round :

• DSA questions to solve in their system - Merge sort on LinkedList, Binary Tree related problem.
• Basic HLD questions on Scalability, SQL vs NoSQL database.
• Some generic OOPs questions etc.

Second Tech Round :

• Firstly got few rapid questions from resume on past experience
• Then asked to design a Library Management System (LLD)
• Long discussion on functions needed, optimal algorighn for insertion, deletion, which DB I'll choose and why
• Asked how to search optimally on the way, then discussion on Trie Data Structure
• Then got a DSA question, Meeting room related to Merge intervals. Long discussion on optimal approach.

Behavioral Round :

• Few questions on why I'm joining the company, leaving the other one.
• some casual questions/discussion on collage, family etc.

📌 Key Takeaways

1. Confidence is the key to perform better.
2. Your way of explaining things really matter and how you think out of the box really impress interviewers.
3. years of DSA grind actually gives you the fuel to run.
