I applied through the Salesforce Careers website and had already completed the OA earlier, but I did not receive any interview callbacks at that time. Later, I connected with a recruiter directly. Since I was serving my notice period, my interview process was fast-tracked.

There were 3 interview rounds in total.

Round 1: DSA

Two coding questions were asked:

  • A Backtracking-based problem

  • Unbounded Knapsack

Both questions required writing complete working code on Hackerrank with all test cases passing and discussing edge cases and time complexity.

Focus areas: Recursion, DP fundamentals, optimization, clarity of approach.

Round 2: LLD + Coding

The problem statement was interesting and practical.

We were given a system with multiple microservices, and I had to design a Service Dependency Impact Analyzer.

The goal was to determine:

  • The impact if one service fails

  • The depth of the impact

  • Whether there are cyclic dependencies in the system

I designed the required classes and implemented core functionalities, including:

  • Traversal logic to measure impact

  • Depth calculation

  • Cycle detection in a directed graph

This round tested both design thinking and coding implementation.

Focus areas: Graph traversal (DFS/BFS), cycle detection, clean class design, scalability considerations.

Round 3: Hiring Manager Round

This round involved:

  • A detailed discussion about my current project

  • One complex technical problem I had solved

  • Mentoring experience

  • Behavioral questions

Some of the behavioral questions included:

  • Why Salesforce?

  • Why are you leaving your current organization?

  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

The discussion was a mix of technical depth and leadership evaluation.

Final Result: Selected ✅
