Hi everyone,
Looking for some honest opinions from the community regarding an offer I received from AppDirect (Pune) for a Senior Software Engineer role.

👨‍💻 Experience
5 years, 7 months (backend-focused, product experience)

💼 Current Compensation (Bangalore)
Base: ₹33.28 LPA
Performance Bonus: 25% of base (~₹8.32 L)
Total CTC: ₹41.6 LPA
Company: Product-based startup
Time in Current Company: 11 months

💼 AppDirect Offer (Pune)
Base: ₹42 LPA (includes employer PF contribution)
Performance Bonus: 10% (~₹4.2 L)
Total CTC: ₹46.2 LPA

📊 Delta
~11% increase in total CTC
~26% increase in base salary
Bonus % reduced significantly (25% → 10%)

Questions for the community:

  1. Is this a good offer for 5.7 YOE in Pune/Bangalore market?
  2. How is AppDirect as a product company in terms of:
    • Engineering culture
    • Career growth
    • Brand value for future switches
  3. Does Pune location impact future opportunities significantly compared to Bangalore?
  4. Should I try negotiating further (what would be a realistic target)?

For context, I am optimizing for:

  • Long-term career growth (Staff/Lead track)
  • Strong product engineering experience
  • Competitive compensation trajectory

Would really appreciate insights from folks who:

  • Have worked at AppDirect
  • Have offers from similar mid-size SaaS companies
  • Are familiar with Pune vs Bangalore compensation dynamics

Other companies I'm interviewing with:

  • Google: In team matching round since June, 2025(1 team match call but no luck as they wanted Java experience)
  • Fluxon: Completed all interviews, 50-50 chance of getting an offer
  • Veeam: OA done, interview loop yet to start
