I recently had my Meta phone screening round, and I wanted to share my experience since I didn’t find many similar ones online.

They asked 2 coding questions, none of which were directly from LeetCode, but both were close variants:

1️. Valid IP Address
I solved it in O(n) time. Then the interviewer asked me to optimize it further. He hinted that I could use some built-in function, but I honestly couldn’t figure out how to make it faster than O(n) since we have to traverse the whole string. If anyone has ideas, please share!

2️. Folder and Files Problem
Given two classes (Folder and File) with nested folders and files (like a real directory), I had to return duplicate file names. I explained my approach; the interviewer seemed fine with it. Started coding, got about 80% done before time was up.

Overall, it was a good experience - Waiting for the result.
