Coding 1:
- Binary tree vertical order
- Delete kth element from the end on linked list
Coding 2:
- Missing ranges in int array
- Variation of buy/sell stock
System desing: Top k trending
Gave optimal solution to all 4 problems with TC/SC, did dry run, tested with multiple test cases, and verified code/solution.
I'd have knocked system design out of the park too only if the interview allowed to drive the conversation. Asked a lot of deep dive questions before I finished HLD. Answered "I get back to it shortly" a couple of times but the questions kept coming. In the end, I got "didn't drive conversation and needed a lot of hints" feedback.
Verdict: Follow up on system design. I count myself luckly for not getting rejected outright. I have another shot to do well in System design. Hope I make it count (and I get a better interviewer).
