Round 1 – DSA + Basics of Java (1 hour)

DSA Questions:

Maximum Number of Vowels in a Substring of Given Length

Find Minimum in Rotated Sorted Array

✅ Solved both questions within 35 minutes.
💬 The interviewer was impressed and moved on to some basic Java and multithreading questions (although I had only prepared for DSA).
📝 I clarified that I wasn’t expecting Java/multithreading in this round. He was understanding and said I would be judged based on DSA only. He advised me to prepare the following for upcoming rounds:

Garbage Collection in Java

Design Patterns

Multithreading concepts (as they use it heavily)

Overall a very good experience for Round 1 — fair, technical, and encouraging.

Round 2 – Rescheduling Chaos
First Attempt:

⏳ Waited 15 minutes, no show from the interviewer.
📞 HR called 2 hours later to say it’ll be rescheduled for next Tuesday.
Second Attempt:

📉 No show again. Took early leave from office to accommodate the time.
📞 No prior notice or communication from HR.
Third Attempt:

📞 HR called 2 weeks later (I had assumed the process was dead). She personally assured the panel would join this time.
📝 I adjusted work again to attend.
🚫 No show — again. No apology or update from HR this time.
Conclusion / Feedback

This was honestly disappointing. While the first round was professional and insightful, the coordination afterward was extremely poor.
Three consecutive no-shows with zero accountability or updates wastes the candidate’s time and energy — especially when we adjust our office schedule or take leaves for these interviews.
