Hi community! I wanted to share my recent interview experience.
I just completed my first-round interview through the Karat platform for an iOS engineering role. The interview was conducted by a real person and lasted 60 minutes, with the entire session recorded.
Here's a quick breakdown:
1 min: Brief self-introduction
10 min: iOS-specific questions: I was asked to identify bugs and suggest improvements in three code snippets.
45 min: Two data structures & algorithms questions:
1. Given staff availability and time slots, identify the understaffed time periods and return them.
2. Given dancers' starting positions and a sequence of dance moves (Up, Down, Left, Right, Still), determine if any dancers collide. Return true if a collision occurs.
4 min: Q&A with the interviewerOverall, it was a focused and well-structured technical interview. Hope this helps anyone preparing!
