Hi Guys,
I wanted to share my experience of getting an offer from Amazon for SDE-1 position at Bangalore. I wanted to give back to the community and help others like it helped me a lot during my preparations.

1. OA - Somwhere in March (Don't remember the exact date) - 2.5 hours
   • 2 DSA questions
   • Amazon's work simulator test
   • Situational MCSQs

• Got email on 16-April-2025 that I cleared OA and have my interviews on 22 and 23 April.

2. Technical Round 1 - 22 April 2025 - 1 hour
   • Leadership Principle question:
     • Tell a time when you had to become a Subject Matter Expert to develop a feature you needed. Specify all tasks you did and outcome.
     • Multiple Follow-ups on above question
   • 1 DSA (Coding) Question:
     • Related to Priority Queues (can't disclose the exact question due to NDA)
     • Also required OOPS based implementation

• Got email within 1 hour via Loop Scheduler for second technical round.

3. Technical Round 2 - 23 April 2025 - 1 hour
   • Leadership Principle question:
     • Tell about a time where you could not deliever a product within deadline and how did you convey this to stakeholders
     • Tell about a time when you went on and helped someone (your peer) at your work.
     • Tell about a time when you made some feature in a week or two, but then found out it was not what you wanted and you need to revamp
   • 1 DSA (Coding) Question:
     • Again related to Priority Queues (The question was very vague and was just a single line statement)
     • No testcase, no examples provided, had to ask clarifications by myself and think of all examples and edge cases on my own and discuss with interviewer.
     • It also required OOPS based implementation
     • Also optimizations were asked as follow up which were related to deadlock handling and synchronization for parallel tasks.

• Got email again within 1 hour for Round 3 (Bar raiser).

4. Bar Raiser Round 3 - 28 April 2025 - 35 minutes
   It was an all LP round and no DSA or coding questions were asked.

   • Leadership Principle questions:

     • Tell about a feature you developed end-to-end, what all options did you explore and what all choices did you make and why?
     • Tell about a time when you recieved a critical feedback from your manager and how did you took it?
     • Tell about a time when you had different choice for something but your colleague had a different opinion and how did you convince them to go with yours?
     • Tell about a time when you had to deliver a feature in a tighter deadline and you did not get chance to explore all options?
     • Tell about a time when you had to research a lot to reach your goal? (dive deep) (don't remember the exact question but was almost similar to it)

   • Follow-up questions were asked on every question above.

• Got a call from recruiter on 8th May 2025 that I cleared all rounds and they are extending me an offer. Also got the offer confirmation mail the same day within 3 hours of the call.

The compensation is same as for other SDE-1 offers which many people have posted already in the discussion.

At the end I just want to say that, don't stop, keep giving your 100% and do believe in yourself and rest all will be taken care by God!
