Feedback : Google L3 Interview Experience

Hi all,

I recently completed my Google interview loop. Here's a quick breakdown:

Round 1: The problem was easy medium level but very confusing description, but I took around 45 minutes to come up with the optimal solution. I solved it eventually, but a bit slow.

Round 2: Solved the problem optimally and within time. Went well.

Round 3: The problem was related to a game and had a trick involved. I used recursion as the interviewer suggested a recursive solution. I solved it in the last minute. After that, the interviewer said the solution works, but due to time constraints, we didn’t get to discuss it much. He also gave me a hint during the process. Initially, the interviewer told me to write only the recursive code, but I could have implemented memoization if given more time

Googlyness Round: Went well overall, had good conversations.

I'm quite confident about Round 2 and the Googlyness round (expecting Strong Hire). But I'm unsure about Round 1 and 3 due to time and late solutions.

It's been 10 days since the Googlyness round and I haven't received any feedback yet.

  1. Can someone share how much timing and hint usage is considered in Google's feedback process?
  2. what could be the possible feedback/outcome for Round 1 and 3 in such scenarios?

Thanks in advance!
