Hi everyone,
I had my Google onsite interviews last month, and I wanted to share my experience as well as ask a quick question about timelines. Here's how it went:
Round 1 – Algorithm / Graphs (6/6)
Question Type: Similar to Swim in Rising Water
Experience:
This round went really well. I was able to write clean, working code and answered all follow-ups. No hiccups.
Round 2 – Interval Data Structures (3 or 4/6)
Question Type: Similar to Range Module
Experience:
Unfortunately, this was my worst round. I had a bad day, and nothing was clicking at first. Eventually, I did manage to write the code, but one test case was failing. Not the best round.
Round 3 – Math & Probability (5/6)
Question Type: Don’t remember the exact question, but it was based on pure math and probability.
Experience:
This round went well. I did make a small mistake (forgot that adding probabilities involves multiplication, not averaging), but otherwise I gave the optimal solution and answered follow-ups correctly.
Googliness Round (6/6)
Experience:
This went great! It was more behavioral and value-based. The interviewer seemed happy, and we had a good conversation.
Question:
It’s been more than 2 weeks, and I haven’t heard back from my recruiter yet. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced a similar delay?
Would love to hear your thoughts or suggestions. Thanks in advance, and best of luck to everyone preparing for interviews!
