Points to rethink if you have an offer from Uber.

Current employee at Uber for >3 yrs.

1. Stocks are too inflated, will be in down hill soon.
2. Engineering culture is meh. Just showing off. All important as well major work is done by USA teams.
3. India teams are majorly for maintenance and minor works.
4. Highly toxic culture, you need to work 14hrs daily, no exception. Even on weekends sometime.
5. High on Politics in majority of teams due to Ex-Amazonians.
6. 12 diff/PR in a month mandatory, if less, PIP is coming..
7. My 2 friends got offer for L4 and L5, highly lowballing directly cutting 15-20L from what we internal employees are getting. Providing Lowest Offer as much as possible
8. Hiring Bar has decreased a lot, even if you get No, will get hire but more low ball.
9. Major Layoff coming soon due to lot of low quality hiring.
10. Hikes are not at all good, very less refreshers.

Consider all these points before joining, do check levels fyi for comp average, do not join below average, you will regret a lot.
