I recenlty interviewed at Meta for the research scientist position.

• 2 coding round
• 1 system design round
• 1 research experience round.

3 interview(1 coding, SD, behaviour) went according to plan. But in my last coding interview one interviewer asked me 2 super hard questions. 1 of the questions was not even on leetcode. Another one was: https://leetcode.com/problems/rank-transform-of-a-matrix/description/.

I am not sure how would anyone solve 2 hard question in 40 miniutes. And in leetcode I saw people getting Top-50 tagged questions. Sometimes it feels like life is really unfair.
