I Recently Appeared for Amazon Interviews, but had a hard luck inspite preparing my best got all question which I had not practiced.
Got the interview mail on 25 Feb, and Interview was Scheduled for 27 and 28 Feb.
Round 1 (Technical)
There were 2 interviewers both with 3+ years of experience in Amazon itself. They told their introduction and asked me to do the same.
They started with 2 DSA problems.
- Given a list of string, segregate the strings as groups of same anagram. - Solved and gave the expected solution
- Next Greater element in a circular array - Could not give the expected solution, she kept insisting to think some different approach but was later satisfied with the approach I had given.
Followed by LP question: Something I did beyond my work scope - They were satisfied with my answer
Round 2 (Technical)
Again there were 2 interviewers both with 3+ years of experience (Both women). They told their introduction and asked me to do the same.
They started with 2 DSA problems.
- Allocate Minimum Pages. - Gave the expected approach but could not code the solution properly as I kept doubting my intution which were mostly right
- Maxium Path Sum in Binary Tree - Gave the expected approach but could not code the correct solution at first but later when they asked me dry run found my mistake and corrected it, I know lost my total impression
Followed by LP question: Something I Struggled to do - They didn't cared much on what I answered.
I know I will be rejected, cause I couldn't perform to my best, and Understood where I lack but was still happy I was able to think correct approach to hard problems during interview, coding is something were I lacked and will surely work on, have a couple more interviews lined up for differents organizations lets see how they go.
