Education - B.Tech (I.T.) from Tier 3 college (2023 batch)
Current experience - 1.5 years at a Big-4 company (not an SDE or full-stack role)

Applied on online portal in mid December 2024.

Recieved OA link on 7th Jan 2025 with expiry on 11 Jan.

Online Assessment (OA)
The OA lasted for around 3-3.5 hrs.

-- 2 DSA questions (70 minutes)

• Q-1: Given a 2-D matrix 'data' and an array 'factor'. Return an integer which is maximum sum of exactly x elements of matrix such that the number of elements taken from ith rowdoes not exceed factor[i] for all 0<=i<n. Return -1, if compression cannot be done.

• Q-2: An application is deployed on 'n' servers connected linearly. The vulnerability of ith server isgiven by vulnerability[i]. The system vulnerability of the subarray is the product of the number of serves and the max vulnerability of the servers in the subarray.
  Find the sum of system vulnerability of all the subarray of the servers.

Got OA result email on 22 Jan 2025 stating that there will be 3 interview rounds.

Round 1 Interview: (Technical + behavioural) (1 hour)

I was asked two DSA problems in this round:
1 - Similar to Two sum problem
2 - Design a data structure which supports two operations;
Record(timestamp, user, action) and getUserAction(start_time, end_time).

This was followed by two Leadership Principles (LP) questions. (last 10 min)

Next day got a call for second interview round to be conducted the same day.

Round 2 Interview: (Technical + behavioural) (1 hour)

One DSA question similar to -**Course Schedule 2**

Followed by 2-3 LP questions.

The next day I got call for Round 3 interview which was scheduled after 3-4 days.

Round 3 interview: Bar Raiser

This round focused entirely on Leadership Principles (LP).
I was asked several behavioral questions on my past expeience which was expected to answer using the STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
The interviewer did a lot of cross-questioning to evaluate my problem-solving and decision-making skills.
This round was scheduled to be 1 hour interview but got completed in 40 minutes.
Interviewer asked for any questions I want to ask.

I was bit nervous as interview got over before time an my previous experience was not in full-stack as interviewer mentioned current role is for full-stack and I have not worked on it before.

Verdict:
Next day after my final interview, I received a email from the recruiter with the greatest news - I had received an offer for the SDE-1 role at Amazon!
Amazon has been a dream company for me (like everone else) since my college days, and with God's grace I got a chance.
