In this Article, I will share my Swiggy Interview Experience as an SDE Intern and how I got a full-time offer from Swiggy after just working for 3 months.
1. How I Applied to Swiggy?
When I was in mid of the end of 3rd year and the beginning of 4th Year, I found a Google form circulating on Linkedin by Swiggy Employees. So, I filled that Google form with my resume and shared my resume with some Swiggy Employees as well.
2. Online Assessment
✅ Mail From HR — After some days of applying, I got the mail from HR that my resume got shortlisted and I will be having the Online Assessment on the same day at around 9 pm.
✅ Preparation Strategy — So, I had only 6 hours for my preparation, I used the Leetcode Discuss Section, GFG blogs, and medium blogs for checking out previously asked questions and revised all DSA Algorithms and important bookmarked questions that I can do at my end.
✅ Online Assessment — So, at around 9 pm, I got the hackerrank OA where I got medium questions around greedy and DP only. Also, I asked some of my friends, and they also got medium questions on Graph and that too was based on standard ones only.
3. Interview Round 1
✅ Call from HR — After some time, I got the call from HR, that I had successfully cleared the OA and I would be having the next Interview Round.
✅ Preparation Strategy — So, I had around 1 day of preparation, So, whatever I could do, core subjects, Skills, DSA important questions, previous interview experiences, bit of LLD, and my projects & internship tasks I have done.
✅ Interview — My Interview was with SDE-1 and it was divided into 3 parts
- Introduction and about my projects & experience.
- MongoDB, MongoDB vs SQL, ACID Properties, etc.
- 2 DSA Questions — Greedy and Trie and one time & space Complexity follow-up question.
The important thing to note:
Have a good understanding of every data structure & their Time & Space Complexity because any question can be asked out of them
4. Interview Round 2
✅ Call From HR — After 30 minutes, I got the call from HR that I had successfully cleared the Online Assessment and I would be having the next Interview round with Hiring Manager.
✅ Preparation Strategy — Same Preparation Strategy + some situational Based Questions
✅ Interview — I was asked all questions about my internship tasks, projects, what APIs I have created, and one DSA question based on BFS + Heaps (Medium — Hard) Ones. Also, at the last some situational-based questions.
After this Interview round, I got the call from HR that I got the offer from Swiggy as an SDE Intern 🎉
This was not my first internship, but it was one of the best experiences I had because I was going to join top unicorn startups.
After 3 months of working in Golang, Spring Boot, and Reactjs, I got a full-time offer from Swiggy as Well.
✅ Final Tips & Tricks
- A resume is your identity, you should know everything about your resume.
- Don't do DSA vs Dev, rather run both of them parallel by participating in Hackathons, Internships, Open Source Contributions, Contests, POTDs, etc.
- Prepare Core Subjects, DSA, and LLD beforehand.
