Interview at: LinkedIn
Role: SSE
Process took 1 Week overall.
Tentative date of Interviews : Oct2024
Applied: May 2024.

R1: [TPS]

Start with : 2 DSA Questions on Trees. [MaxDepth of BinaryTree, LCA of BinaryTree]
Gave optimal approaches and wrote code for them. There was still some time left, so we discussed and added code for 3rd question (this question was on arrays, used 2pointer approach ) as well.
Verdict: SH

[Onsites]

R1: [DSA]

2 DSA (medium-hard difficulty) were asked.
Q1. Related to giving out factors for a number in specified way. Discussed approach + added code, shared TC/SC.

Q2. Related to Graph (detect a cycle) -- Added code & during dry-run, time was up, so interviewer insisted to stop dry-run and they'll do it later by self. Then asked me about TC/SC . Overall, seemed fine (I think so :P).

R2: [DSA]

2 DSA (medium-hard difficulty)
Q1. Similar to K closest points on origin. Shared multiple approaches, interviewer wanted solution in O(N), he/she gave some hints and * was able to solve the question & wrote code for the same.

Q2. Hard Question based on some DataStructure design. Because we had ~15mins of time left, he/she just wanted to discuss about DS I would be creating and didn't wanted me to start with code. Discussed the same and interviewer was satisfied.

R3: SystemDesign

Design Top K system. Gave approaches, discussed about data pipelines, CountMinSketch, Heap etc. It was a good round, learnt / discussed many things here. Didn't realised when the time flew. Interviewer was engaging was corrected me at 1-2 places, it seemed like we were having a tech discussion and I was the person driving it.
Personally, liked the mindset of Interviewer here.

R4: HM Round

Usual HM questions, Discussed many things and this was completed before time. I feel this should be SH, IMO.

R5. Tech Discussion

Discussion regarding a current project that I've worked upon. Discussed In depth regarding the architechture, flows, other approaches which we considered, tradeOffs, lessons learnt, what could've been better etc.
Overall this was very good round.

Note: 2 Questions were out of LinkedIn tagged questions, they are not exactly same as many folks say. Hence pointing this out that just solving tagged questions, sometimes might help/ might not help. It is upto your luck.

It was nice process. I have been rejected at some companies due to (using for-loops instead of Streams, not adding id attribute in Models while desigining LLD -- yeah got this feedback from rec. ) & hence to be honest, even when interviews went fine, I am not too much confident about result.

FinalVerdict: Pending.

Updated: Selected :)
