JP Morgan | Experienced Software Engineer Java/Python (Full stack & Back end) | India
Current: Working in a top product company
Experience: 3.5 years
HR approached me through a hiring platform and asked me to apply through their careers website. I was invited for a HackerRank round titled "JPMorganChase – Cohort – India – SWE – 2024." There were 2 questions with a time limit of 60 minutes. I solved both and received a confirmation email from HR within a week stating that I had cleared the online assessment round. The HR also collected my details, including my current CTC and expected CTC(I've quoted approx my current pay + 40% ).
In all other JPMC posts, candidates mentioned getting a call from HR, but I received an email. I followed up with HR twice, with a gap of 4-5 days between each follow-up, but I haven’t received any reply or call so far. A few days later, I checked the careers page and was surprised to see the status for this role marked as "no longer under consideration."
Now, I’m a bit confused as to whether I’ll be getting an interview invite soon (as I have applied to a few other roles that show as "under consideration") or if I should conclude that I’ve lost this opportunity. This would be the worst interview experience if they have left the process abruptly without even notifying the candidate and not providing a fair opportunity. I would appreciate any suggestions.
